Going West

This last week Gordon and I (yeah, you read it correctly, NO KIDS) took a trip up to Wyoming for his family’s annual Hunting Camp/Family Reunion. We drove up with Gordon's dad; I think it took 23 or 24 hours of straight driving. We had such an incredible time enjoying the beauty of God's creation and the time we got to spend together and with family we don't see very often. The second day up the mountain Gordon and I hiked up to the top of Dead Man Mountain, the name is very appropriate for the mountain. It took 3 1/2 hours to get up and then 1 1/2 hours to get down. Now I have gone hiking in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico but it doesn’t compare to Wyoming, it just about killed me and I don't think my feet will ever be the same! Another "fun" thing was that Gordon wanted to chop down a tree so I sat and watched until he told me the nickname of the tree he was cutting down "widow maker" then Coren's paranoia began, luckily the tree came down and I still had a husband. We flew home from Salt Lake and being the good Mormons we are we went to temple square and of course I had to do some shopping. Like I said it was an incredible time, I loved it but I am also so happy to be home with my wonderful children.
