I'm so in need of a Vacation!
The problem I have is that I have a pregnant Sister that is due in the next couple of weeks and she'll freak if I left town. My 1 year old is such a good baby that plays by himself and sleeps well only at HOME! And the only places I want to be take a plane or a loooong car drive and both don't sound good to me with 4 children.
So, I've been thinking of having a stay at home vacation.
My plan is to have the husband take off work, get the finishing touches on the house to get it ready to sell, and then do things around town- stuff we never do.
While this is a better alternative to doing nothing, I still would rather be hiking up a mountain, trail running, shopping in a cute little town, lazing around, and sitting on porch swings...oh well.
So everyone, what are things we should do around town?

What i would suggest you doing is getting a babysitter for the weekend (aka Diana, pray she doesn't go into labor and go to a hotel for the night. Get a massage and lounge in the pool there with gordon.

Wait, watch all 4 kids for the weekend? I think I would definitely go into labor after that...bring it!

Oh, I was going to give you suggestions of stuff to do with the kids. Maybe you don't want to hear them now. But here they are in case you do.
The Aquarium/Rain Forest near West End - Not the one at Fair Park
Ft. Worth Stock Yards, there is a train to ride also
There is some kind of Science Center in Ft. Worth that is fun
The Botanical Gardens
The Water Gardens
Eat at Trail Dust and make sure to wear some old ties. The kids would love the slide. Or eat at The Magic Time machine
The 3rd Floor Museum where JFK was shot, the grassy knoll, and the JFK monument
There is some kind of ice skaing rink in a building downtown but it has been too long for me to remember what it's called
The observatory at Reunion Tower

That's the stuff I would wanna do if I were to take a trip to Dallas.
I hadn't thought of all of those. Thanks! The stay at home vaca will most likely be with the kids.
If you do your stay vaca while I'm in town you can come up and play with me!
Okay Ally- you talk like you have lived in Dallas before.
I would also suggest going back to Burger Springs but there was that bacteria that shut it down and they don't know when it's going to reopen.
