This is actually the 2nd home we put an offer on. The first was a big, fancy home that we loved. Upon researching the schools we found that they were BAD and we quickly backed out of the deal. I didn't feel it necessary to do research before we put an offer on it because the neighborhood was so nice...it was a good learning lesson for me.
The good news is that within 10 hours, found the perfect home/neighborhood/schools for our family.
We will live very close to our school (no more carpools woohoo), we have a nearby trail, a quiet neighborhood, but most important we have a pool and hot-tub (no more going to the public pools or waiting for pity invites from Farrah to swim). We also live 3 miles away from one of my sisters and are in the same ward (look out new ward!)
I'll certainly miss being so close to my friends and the kids school, but I'm excited about our future in this home...mostly I'm excited I don't have to drive to run on a trail!!!
So send me good thoughts as I'll be packing a family of 6 and moving in 2.5 weeks...not to mintion all of my normal wife/mommy/business owner duties!

Good luck!!! That's about how much notice I had to move out of my house. It ain't easy. Get help. That's my advice. Oh and find boxes on Craigs list. That's how I got mine and they were very nice sturdy expensive boxes and I got them for free! Oh and we got one of those portable containers that they deliver to your house and you can load it up at your leisure and then they move it to your new house. That was handy dandy. If you get one google for online coupons for one.
Your new house looks beautiful. You will have to e-mail me and tell me where it is. Which sister do you live close to? How exciting!
Congratulation! It's a beautiful home! I hope that all the packing/moving/unpacking goes without any problems. Love ya.
Allyson,
We will be by the little sis.
Thanks for the tips! I looked at the portable containers but they were way too expensive, I look for the coupons!
Good luck with the move. I have hated the work that goes into moving but I have really loved going to new wards and meeting new people. It is fun to have change. It is sad to leave old friends, but fun to make new ones.
LOVES IT!!!!
Coren, K and I have those blue portable containers...you can come and get some.
I am so so very excited for you! And can't wait to see it in person.
And you should know you can invite yourself over to swim anytime you want!
I love the homes in Texas. I want a brick home with beautiful trees and a yard. HOW PRETTY!!
Beautiful! Congratulations!
So pretty!
Congrats Coren and fam! Next time we're in the area we'll come see the house. Hope the moving goes very well...as well as any move can, anyway! :)
