This afternoon on our way home from having lunch with the Hubby/Daddy we decided to stop at the Galleria (aka the galla-maria).
I got a few new shirts at ATL, Ian got 2 pairs of jeans from Nordstrom and Ella got herself an American Girl Doll (Kit Kittredge to be exact).
I can't tell you how fun that store is (it really brought back so many memories of D and I lying in bed with the American Girl Doll magazine dreaming of having one of our own.)
There were tons of girls running all over the place, clothes galore and way too many accessories, although a girl can never have too many accessories.
Anyway, Ella couldn't be more happy. She's held Kit all day, brushed her hair, and made her a bed. For some, this may not seem like a big deal but for for us it is! Ella usually get's bored with a doll 30 or so min. after she gets them and has had a BAD habit of loosing them (may her 2 lost cabbagepatch kids rest in peace.)
I didn't bring my camera to the store so we took some front yard pic's.

I'm so glad you (I mean Ella) got an american doll.
You could get one Farrah but if you started to play/talk to your doll, I would be worried!
The jeans were on sale and super cute. I'm going to go back soon with out the kiddos, I want those earrings.
I was looking at this with Lizzy standing next me, and when I scrolled down to look at the pictures, she gasped and said "A Kit doll!!!!". Lots of hopping and mouth-gaping came after that, and then "I want a Kit doll!!!". I totally get Ella's excitement...we are sending lots of letters to Santa these days ;)

I'm so glad someone got Kit. Isn't she the cutest.
It is so nice to do something for your little one, and you don't have to have a reason or event. I think it makes it even better.
Farrah honey, you go get your doll....you have 2 boys and no little girls to play with. P.S. Or...you can start medication immediately.....hehehehe....just kidding!!
I have thought about getting one of those for Nicole when she gets older. She loves dolls and I am sure would LOVE it.
if i bought a kit doll, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't let the girls play with it, they break EVERYTHING :)
